Trade Contractors on Clark Projects Earn 28 Craftsmanship Awards from WBC

Bethesda, MD – Congratulations to the many talented trade contractors on Clark projects who have received Washington Building Congress’ 2019 Craftsmanship Awards. In total, Clark project teams across the Washington DC metropolitan area received 28 awards for their quality construction and excellence.
Clark Concrete, Clark Foundations, and C3M were among the winners, earning honors for their accomplishments on the Suburban Hospital Campus Enhancement Phase 2, WMATA Orange and Blue Line Rehabilitation, and the Inova Dwight and Martha Schar Cancer Institute.
On the MD 355 Crossing project, Atkinson Construction received the WBC Star Award Nomination for its work under the ‘Underpinning, Foundations, and Excavation’ category. Finalists for this award are hand-selected by a panel of industry judges honoring projects that demonstrate the highest level of quality and exceed the awards criteria to achieve a level defined as "Exceptional." The MD 355 Crossing project involves the construction of a pedestrian tunnel to connect the National Institutes of Health campus with the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center campus. The Star Award Winner will be presented during the annual Craftsmanship Awards banquet on Friday, March 29, 2019.
