Clark renovated and repositioned an existing office building into an 180,000-square-foot trophy-class office building with nine stories above-grade and three stories below-grade.
The project team demolished and abated the existing building’s façade while maintaining the integrity of precast members that serve as a part of the building’s structure. The building’s new façade features Portuguese limestone, granite, metal panels, curtain wall, and a structurally glazed entrance vestibule. The lobby features Italian travertine and marble, along with millwork and brushed bronze accents. The Clark team also constructed a penthouse common space including meeting rooms, a bar area, and a terrace with uninterrupted views of the White House and Washington Monument.
The project’s scope of work also included site updates to provide outdoor seating spaces and improved sightlines along 16th and Eye Street.
