Location:
Washington, DC
Client:
Johns Hopkins University
Year Completed:
2023
Sector:

Clark is renovating and transforming the existing 350,000-square-foot building at 555 Pennsylvania Avenue. The building, which served as home to the Newseum until the end of 2019, will serve as Johns Hopkins University’s primary Washington, DC location and will support the school's business, public policy, and international study graduate programs.

The project team is gutting and repurposing the building’s interior, demolishing and partially infilling the atrium, and replacing the south and west façades.

Once complete, the world-class academic building will include classrooms, offices, conferencing space, and media suites. The atrium of the building will feature a cascading “room stair”, a “room bridge”, a “beach” for informal gathering, and a 370 +/- seat theater with pre-function space.
