It’s experiencing the broad range of opportunities that Clark provides, on and off the jobsite.

SEARCH FOR OPPORTUNITIES

Life at Clark

A key element of the Clark eXperience is the opportunity to develop strong, trusting relationships with other members of the Clark team. Clark has a variety of activities that promote having fun while building personal connections with colleagues. Making sure our employees feel engaged is our top priority.

Community Service

Our role in the community involves more than the construction of buildings; we aim to build community beyond the jobsite. From rehabilitating homes to preparing food at soup kitchens, the Clark team volunteers over 8,000 hours each year to strengthen the communities in which we live, work, and play.

Company Social Sports

Whether your sport is basketball or volleyball, kickball or cycling, there are dozens of ways to stay active and have fun with your colleagues outside of the office. Clark sponsors over 30 sports teams nationwide.

Company Celebrations

Celebrating company achievements creates a sense of pride and belonging for all employees. Regardless of role, every member of the Clark team is critical to the success of the company.  From summer picnics to holiday parties, we take pride in our successes and make sure we take the time to celebrate.

Training and Development

Training and Development

When it comes to providing our employees with mentoring, training, and professional development opportunities needed to realize their full potential, we’ve done our homework. Clark offers a wide range of programs and experiences to help our employees grow throughout every stage of their career. We believe in our people and want them to succeed.

Learning Programs

  • Clark Corporate University - Clark's in-house learning academy offers dozens of programs in the classroom, in the field, and online. From safety training to becoming a better negotiator, each course is designed to enhance our employees’ construction, leadership, and business skills, and prepare them for the responsibilities they’ll assume throughout their career.

  • LinkedIn Learning - To help employees gain new skills and advance their careers at Clark, all employees have access to LinkedIn Learning, a learning tool that offers on-demand access to a full library of online courses. With LinkedIn Learning, employees can learn at their own pace and access course content anytime from their personal computer, mobile device, or tablet.

Tuition Reimbursement Program

Clark supports the continuing professional and technical development of its employees by encouraging enrollment in formal courses of study and making funds available for tuition reimbursement. The Program is designed to help Clark team members take advantage of educational opportunities that will benefit both their professional development.

National Conferences

  • Clark Connections - Clark Connections brings college new hires from across the country together for a three-day training and introduction into Clark Construction. This training gives this group exposure to the company and executive team members along with the vast resources Clark has to assist them in their professional and social lives at the company.

  • PD2 Conference - The PD2 Conference brings together project development, project delivery, and corporate professionals for a two-day training program that focuses on collaboration, knowledge sharing, and best practices around areas critical to Clark's success.

Leadership Training

  • Boot Camp - Boot Camp provides project engineers ready to make the transition to management with a greater understanding of Clark’s project management practices. During this intensive, off-site, week-long program, employees work alongside Clark’s in-house experts and executives to develop the skills and knowledge base necessary to become project leaders.

  • Field Development Group - Clark’s Field Development Group enhances field management learning and prepares participants to step into the role of Superintendent. During this three-year program, participants build leadership and communication skills, and gain valuable technical know-how through a curriculum of seminars, individual and group projects, and on-the-job training.

  • Business Unit Leadership Development - BUiLD is a rigorous leadership development program that prepares senior managers to take the next step in becoming company executives. Employees selected for this 18-month-long program learn business and leadership lessons — such as how to identify emerging opportunities and manage multi-faceted projects — from Clark executives and outside business professionals. Working collaboratively, they apply these lessons through business analysis, case studies, and team assignments.

  • Clark/Darden MBA Certificate - Designed to complement the company’s existing in-house initiatives, the Clark/Darden MBA certificate program arms our construction professionals with the business skills they’ll need to be executives. Through a two-year partnership program with the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, selected employees gain valuable business know-how and exposure to external thought leaders and heads of enterprise from other industries across the world.
