The US Court of Appeals Repair & Alterations project completely restores the building's interior and exterior following damage from the Loma Prieta earthquake and ensures it can withstand future seismic events. The project includes the installation of seismic plates beneath the building’s structural columns and the reinforcement of walls and floors. The building, originally constructed in 1905, features intricate architectural elements including elaborately carved doors and lavish millwork.
