Clark provided design-build services for the construction of this 231,500 square-foot apartment building project located near the University of Maryland – College Park (UMD) campus. University View II provides off-campus apartment student housing for UMD students.
The 12-story University View II building features 154 suites containing 517 beds and first-floor amenity space that includes a fitness center, business center, and study rooms. Its structure is post-tensioned cast-in-place concrete, and the building features a brick façade with EIFS accents and punched windows. Clark also built shell space for 11,750 square-foot of ground-level retail.
The project is adjacent to University View, a 16-story, 352-unit, 1,056-bed student housing residence that Clark completed in 2005. Residents of the two apartment buildings can access the UMD campus via a pedestrian/bike bridge connecting both sites directly to the campus.
