The 90,000 square-foot building is comprised of teaching labs and flexible research space to accommodate a range of engineering and science programs.

The building is located just south of the existing engineering building, which is connected by a bridge to the new facility. The building features a high-performance mechanical system that helps pressurize lab spaces. The façade is comprised of stucco and arcades to match the campus’ historic Mission Revival architectural style. The project team also constructed a courtyard for interactive learning and to hold campus events.

The Engineering Interdisciplinary Sciences Building is designed to achieve LEED® certification.
