San Ysidro Land Port of Entry includes an 806-foot bridge that spans 30 lanes of Interstate 5 and the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facilities. More than 25,000 pedestrians and 50,000 vehicles pass through the port each day. Despite laydown areas and site logistics divided by the 30-lane highway, vehicle traffic was rarely impacted, and ongoing CBP operations were never interrupted during construction.
