Loudoun Water Community Systems Ammonia Removal Upgrades

The Loudoun Water Community Systems Ammonia Removal Upgrades project delivers improvements to wastewater treatment facilities in Leesburg, Middleburg, and Waterford, Virginia. 

In Leesburg, the team will upgrade the plant's sterilization capabilities with a UV system and will complete electrical improvements.

In Middleburg and Waterford, the work includes replacing aerated lagoon treatment with sequencing batch reactor tanks, support buildings, and influent pump stations. The scope involves extensive decommissioning of the lagoons and site restoration.
