Lake Nona Middle School
Clark Construction, in association with RL Burns Inc., provided construction manager-at-risk services for the construction of the 170,000-square-foot Lake Nona Middle School in Orlando, Florida.
The new facility is split into two buildings. Building One, a three-story structure, houses classrooms, art and music rooms, kitchen and cafeteria, media center, and HVAC. Building Two, a single-story building, features a gymnasium and a multi-purpose room. Both buildings are tilt-up concrete structures with precast skin. The gymnasium building meets Enhanced Hurricane Protection Area (EPHA) standards, allowing it to serve as a hurricane shelter if needed.
Clark was also responsible for the construction of parking areas, a bus loop, basketball courts, tennis courts, track, baseball/softball fields, and site utilities.
