Brooke Army Medical Center
The full-service, 1.5 million square-foot Brooke Army Medical Center was completed by Clark in 1995. Despite delays from severe rain storms during the project’s first four months, the project was delivered eight months ahead of schedule.
Brooke Army Medical Center features several major components: an eight-story patient tower with 450-beds; a five-story ancillary section that houses operating rooms, laboratories, and pharmacies; a three-story clinical area with outpatient services; a mechanical service bay; and a central energy plant. In addition, over 1.1 million square feet of interstitial space between floors services the sophisticated mechanical requirements of the medical center.
Almost two decades after the completion of Brooke Army Medical Center, Clark returned to renovate the facility as part of the San Antonio Military Medical Center.
