Almost a year after its grand opening, Pacific Visions at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach continues to delight and impress. The Associated General Contractors (AGC) of California was certainly a fan, awarding Clark Construction with a Constructor Award on January 31 during its annual banquet held in San Francisco.

AGC California honors “the best of the best” construction projects built by their peers. Pacific Visions won in the “Builder Under $30 Million” category. Pacific Visions features a state-of-the-art immersive theater, exhibition space, art gallery, and new live animal exhibits. Already an iconic attraction of the Long Beach waterfront, the 29,000-square-foot Pacific Visions is a balance of aesthetics and function in a single, sinuous biomorphic form. Achieved through a jigsaw puzzle of glass and steel, Clark brought to life a building evocative of the Pacific Ocean.

The AGC California awards program celebrates the “skill, unique undertakings, and ability to address the most difficult challenges contractors encounter.” Congratulations to the Clark team and design partner EHDD on this great achievement!
