110 North Wacker Recognized with Two Industry Awards

Clark Construction Group is proud to announce that the 110 North Wacker project is the recipient of the Chicago Commercial Real Estate Award for "Commercial Development of the Year" and the Chicago Building Congress Merit Award for "Best Commercial Construction Over $50 Million".
Completed by Clark Construction in 2020, 110 North Wacker Drive is both the city's tallest office building and the second-largest office building to be delivered in three decades, totaling 57 stories.
Situated along the Chicago River, the 1.5-million-square-foot Class A+ office tower features a 15,000-square-foot fitness center, a 12,000-square-foot conference center, 22,000 square feet of retail space, a half-acre Riverwalk park plaza, and a two-story, below-grade parking structure. The building's sawtooth façade along the riverside property line is held up by three trident columns for enhanced, open views of the 30-foot-wide Riverwalk. The project site is located between a multilevel thoroughfare, Wacker Drive, the Chicago River, and bascule and trunnion bridges on the north and south ends of the site.
The Chicago Commercial Real Estate Awards brings together more than 1,850 of Chicago’s top architects, brokers, developers, property managers, interior contractors, and design professionals to celebrate the outstanding achievements in all facets of the industry. The Awards program support the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
The Chicago Building Congress Merit Awards Program recognizes the most outstanding construction projects from the past three years in the Chicagoland area. In its 65th year, winners of the Awards Program are selected by industry professionals based on distinctive and innovative design, quality of construction, the impact of the project on the community, and safety record.
The two awards add to the project’s list of awards which includes the NAIOP Chicago Award of Excellence for “Office Development of the Year”, the 2021 Chicago Commercial Real Estate Award for “Commercial Development of the Year”, the Chicago Building Congress Merit Award for “Best Commercial Construction Over $50 Million”, the 2020 Chicagoland AGC Project of the Year for “New Construction Project Over $100 Million”.
110 North Wacker was developed by Riverside Investment & Development and the Howard Hughes Corporation. Goettsch Partners served as the architect.
