Clark Construction Mobilizes at 566 West Van Buren

Chicago, IL – Clark Construction has commenced construction on 566 West Van Buren, a new 12-story multifamily residential tower in Chicago's West Loop Gate neighborhood, partnering with the development team of Riverside Investment & Development, Blue Star Properties, Atlantic Residential, and Metropolis Investment Holdings. The group celebrated with a ceremonial groundbreaking ceremony on June 2, 2026.

The Clark team has already completed early site preparation allowing them to transition to active structural work. Crews completed the deep concrete caisson foundations and fully erected the site's tower crane on the tight corner lot, allowing our crews to shift focus entirely to vertical concrete construction.

As the structure rises, the 26,000-square-foot footprint will maximize space by utilizing the ground floor for an entirely enclosed 42-space vehicle parking garage. To accommodate alternative transit, the build-out includes high-capacity storage for 199 bicycles to serve the residents of the 52 studios, 113 one-bedroom units, and 34 two-bedroom units. Additional amenities will feature a dedicated remote-work coworking space, fitness facility, and mail room, while the 12th floor will host an indoor club room, private lounges, and an outdoor amenity deck featuring a rooftop swimming pool.

Clark is on track to deliver the finished tower in early 2027.
