Tampa International Airport Parking Garage & Administration Building
Clark completed the economy parking garage and administration building at Tampa International Airport in 2006. The six-story garage can accommodate 5,400 vehicles, while the administration building houses police, landscape maintenance, and parking operations for the airport.
The parking structure is constructed of post-tensioned concrete decks and cast-in-place columns that rest on drilled concrete caissons. Finishes on the structure include pre-cast architectural concrete in two styles: smooth face panels at the exterior and elevated decks and a “broken fin” corrugated panel at the ramps between decks.
The facility features extensive signage work including an electronic board that displays the location of available parking on different levels.
Constructed from reinforced concrete masonry units (CMU), the administration building is equipped with a number of communication systems, including structured cabling for data and telecommunications, PBX systems that tie into the existing airport system, security system, and closed circuit television.
Due to innovative phasing and efficient construction sequencing, Clark turned the project over to the client three months ahead of schedule.
