Orlando International Airport Airside Terminal 2

Building Orlando's Vision
305,000 Square Feet
Year Completed:

Orlando International Airport Airside Terminal 2 increased the airport's capacity, while supporting the city's vision for the future.

Clark added 16 gates and a fully-automated ground transportation system as part of the Terminal 2 project, helping the City of Orlando increase business and tourism traffic. Terminal 2 has a dramatic façade of glass curtain wall with metal and porcelain panels and an extensive tension truss skylight system. The ground transportation system connects the terminal with the airport's central base.

According to William C. Peeper, then president of the Orlando CVB, the airport was a central component of the city's economic plan at the time. Clark, in a joint venture agreement, also constructed the Orange County Convention Center Expansion, another critical piece of the commercial initiative.
