Kennedy Warren Apartments
Kennedy-Warren's South Wing expansion added 114 luxury apartments to the existing 317-unit historic building. While the existing apartments boasted a number of high-end amenities, including hardwood floors, and spacious closets.
The South Wing apartments feature high-end finishes, including hard wood and marble flooring, and granite countertops. Amenities include a swimming pool and fitness center, elevator direct access to certain apartments, and a three-geyser night-lit 2,600-gallon fountain in the courtyard.
Special attention was required to match the skin of the South Wing expansion with the ornately-detailed existing historic façade, which is comprised of intricate brick patterns, including herringbone, basket weave and saw tooth, architectural precast details such as finials, balconies, rosettes, and gargoyles, limestone cladding, and large ornamental metal spandrel panels.
As part of the project, the existing lobby was also renovated and restored to its original grandeur and was modernized to meet current code standards. The lobby and the surrounding ground floor lounges also recieved upgrades to their mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire alarm, and sprinkler protection systems.
