Jefferson 14W
Jefferson 14W provides a mix of new and old D.C. in a seven-story mixed-use building, featuring apartments, ground level retail, and a YMCA. Clark led construction efforts on the new luxury facility, restored several historic buildings on site, incorporating them into the overall structure.
The Jefferson 14W building is a post-tensioned concrete structure with 231 apartment units, including 19 affordable housing units, 13,000 square-feet of ground-level retail, and two levels of below-grade parking. The site of an aging YMCA, Clark demolished the existing facility and built the new 40,000 square-foot YMCA in the Jefferson 14W property. Additionally, to preserve the neighborhood's design asesthetic, the project team restored five historic townhouses and a historic carriage house, all located on site.
Jefferson 14W's residents enjoy a wide range of amenities, including a contemporary party room with billiards, a business center with 24-hour Internet access, a movie screening room, a catering kitchen, and a bar with flat panel televisions. Residents also have access to a private rooftop garden. The plush lobby, attended by a concierge around the clock, features a striking glass wall fireplace.
