Scheduled for completion in 2014, the Phase B Expansion and Renovation project is a five-story addition to, as well as renovations of, the Clovis Community Medical Center. The project, one of the Community Medical Center's largest, will make Clovis Community the first comprehensive, full-service hospital in the region to have all private rooms.

The new five-story, 122,000 square-foot medical tower includes a 38-bed emergency department, 24-bed intensive care unit, 11 surgical suites, a dedicated Women's Pavilion, special care nursery, and expanded radiology department. This component of the Phase B project was completed two months ahead of schedule and began accepting patients in November 2012.

As part of the Phase B project Clark also is making significant enhancements to the existing hospital adding nearly 70,000 square feet of surgical, emergency, imaging, and sterile processing space to the Diagnostic and Treatment building. This includes nine new state-of-the art inpatient operating rooms supported by a 22-bed pre-op and 20-bed PACU area, nine new radiology and imaging suites, a new Emergency Department with 35 exam rooms, new ambulance dock, and a new lobby and waiting area. In addition, the Clark team added 22,079 square feet to the existing patient tower, which became a dedicated Women’s Pavilion with 16 labor and delivery rooms, three C-Section ORs, 40 post-partum inpatient beds, and both a Level 1 and Level 2 Nursery. Finally, the project team is expanding the central utility plant by over 16,000 square feet and constructing a new three-story, 659-space parking garage. The project also includes over 30 acres of new sitework, parking areas, roadways, and underground utilities.

Equipped with the latest high-tech systems and technology, Clovis is one of the most convenient and most technologically-advanced hospitals in the country.
