Michael Alto

Michael (Mike) Alto oversees the development and delivery of private sector and education projects in Clark Construction Group’s Mid-Atlantic Region.

Mike leads a business unit, where he focuses on the acquisition and construction of office, residential, mixed-use, hospitality, and higher education projects. Since joining Clark in 1985, Mike has been responsible for building many notable projects in the Mid-Atlantic Region, including the National Law Enforcement Museum, Women in Military Service For America Museum, Shakespeare Theater, Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America, headquarters for the Association of American Medical Colleges, Edward St. John Teaching and Learning Center at the University of Maryland, and Waycroft apartment building in Arlington, Virginia.

Mike earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and has served two terms on the Alumni Advisory Board for the College of Civil and Environmental Engineering. He currently serves as chairman of the board for Samaritan Inns in Washington, DC.
