Thales Transport and Security awarded C3M Power Systems a $4.6 million contract for the automatic train control and upgraded fare collection systems work on West Virginia University’s Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) System.
 

The project team will install, integrate, and provide testing of the upgraded systems. The scope of work will be performed while keeping the transit system fully operational. To ensure no interruptions to PRT’s operations, crews will perform work while the system is offline, during the evening hours and summer breaks.

Substantial completion is scheduled for November 2016.
