Tishman Speyer has awarded Clark the contract for the Square 696 project in Washington, DC. Handel Architects is the project architect.
Clark will construct a 14-story, multi-family residential tower with elaborate amenity spaces and a landscaped roof. The project scope includes a two-level, below-grade parking garage, which features an amenity area on the first level below grade. The building envelope will showcase curtain wall in the courtyards and precast with punch windows around the perimeter. The post-tensioned concrete structure will contain a total of 818 units and will be constructed in two phases. In Phase 1 of the project, Clark will complete the eastern side of the residential tower, structure and skin of the western side of the residential tower, two levels of below-grade parking, site improvements, and landscaping. Phase 2 will include the complete fit out of the west residential tower, along with with site improvements and landscaping.
Clark Foundations and Clark Concrete are part of the project and will perform support-of-excavation and cast-in-place concrete, respectively.
The project is designed to achieve LEED Silver certification.
Excavation is underway and Phase 2 completion is slated for May 2022.
