Broadway Substation Upgrades
Clark restored the Broadway Substation’s envelope and interiors, as well as replaced all of the traction power equipment with new gear.
The project team also built a cable bridge to the CTA rail line (the L) tracks with micropiles to support the foundations of the bridge. The scope also included tuckpointing the building and replacing the doors and roof.
The substation remained active throughout construction.
This is Clark's third substation upgrade project for the Chicago Transit Authority.
