Carr Properties has awarded Clark a contract for the 7272 Wisconsin Avenue project in Bethesda, MD. Shalom Baranes Associates is the project architect.

7272 Wisconsin Avenue will be a mixed-use development totaling more than one million square feet. Clark will construct one office tower called “The Wilson” and two residential towers called “The Elm” on top of a shared podium. The podium includes 375,000 square feet of above- and below-grade parking. The 364,000-square-foot office tower will feature a multi-stepped curtain wall façade and ground floor retail, while the two residential towers, totaling 613,000 square feet, will feature 456 units and an amenity sky bridge located on the 28th floor. As part of the scope of work, the project team will also deliver the shell of the western terminus for the future Purple Line light-rail station.

Clark’s project team recently completed demolition efforts, including the move of a historic building to a new location half a mile from the site.

The project is designed to achieve LEED® Gold certification.

Clark Foundations is part of the project and is performing support-of-excavation. SOE and excavation work are underway and substantial completion is slated for May 2021.
