Metro Transit Police Department District Two Substation & Training Facility Tops Out

WASHINGTON – Earlier this month, Clark's Metro Transit Police Department District Two Substation and Training Facility project team celebrated a major project milestone — topping out the building's steel structure. Equally as important as the topping out of the three-story police substation is the Clark project team's impeccable safety record.

To date, the project has had zero lost time incidents, zero recordables, and zero first aid injuries. Developing a strong safety culture was paramount from the beginning of the project, and reinforcing this core value is something the team has committed to doing every day. Above the jobsite entrance, a large banner reminds everyone that, as a world-class builder, safety, quality, and client service have to remain at the forefront of everyone's mind throughout the entire project. Clark's team also holds weekly safety stand downs each Monday, to remind everyone of their commitment to keeping themselves, and each other, safe.

Clark is committed to safety above all else and our firm believes no project is successful unless it is built safely. We know that all accidents are preventable, and through proper planning and training, employee engagement and empowerment, and constant vigilance, the company can ensure that everyone leaves the jobsite in the same condition that they arrived.
