Clark/Bell Celebrates Grand Opening of Grand Hyatt Nashville

NASHVILLE, TN – Clark Construction Group, Bell & Associates Construction, and Southwest Value Partners today announced the grand opening of Grand Hyatt Nashville, the first project to come to life within the 18-acre Nashville Yards Development.

The 25-floor Grand Hyatt Nashville offers 591 guest rooms, a signature restaurant from James Beard-Award winning chef Sean Brock, a rooftop lounge, and a 5th floor Wellness Level that includes a fitness center, pool overlooking downtown, and world-class spa. The luxury hotel also features 77,000 square feet of state-of-the-art event and pre-function space, including a 20,000 square-foot Grand Ballroom.

“We are delighted to celebrate the grand opening of Grand Hyatt Nashville, a truly exceptional hotel located in the heart of downtown Music City,” said Cary Mack, co-managing partner of Southwest Value Partners, the owner and developer of Nashville Yards. “I’m incredibly proud of the work that’s gone into creating such an extraordinary property that blends Nashville’s history and culture with outstanding amenities, stunning design, and industry-leading customer service. Above all, I wish to express our sincere gratitude to our partners at Clark Construction Group and Bell & Associates Construction, along with the men and women who have worked day-in and day-out to bring our vision to life.”

Since breaking ground in 2018, over 3,500 craft workers contributed to the Grand Hyatt Nashville project, with 515 workers on site at the peak activity. Logging a combined 1.45 million hours, the project team set 34,500 cubic yards of concrete, placed 843 tons of steel, and installed 2,700 tons of rebar to shape this luxury hotel.

“Clark is honored to have had the opportunity to work alongside Southwest Value Partners, Bell & Associates, and HKS Architects to deliver the first component of this landmark development for Music City,” said Tim Lamson, vice president responsible for leading Clark Construction’s operations in Nashville. “We are grateful for our trade partners and their crews, whose hard work and dedication enabled us to deliver this project safely and on schedule.”

Grand Hyatt Nashville adds to Clark Construction’s growing portfolio of work in the Music City, which also includes the 2.1 million-square-foot Music City Center and the Engineering and Science Building at Vanderbilt University.

In addition to the Grand Hyatt Nashville, the Clark/Bell team is working with Southwest Value Partners to develop Parcel 4 of Nashville Yards, which includes a 24-story office tower and associated parking garage that will serve as Amazon’s new Operations Center of Excellence.

To celebrate the grand opening of the Grand Hyatt Nashville, Southwest Value Partners unveiled a video highlighting the hotel’s architecture and design that pays homage to the site’s history as a rail and lumber yard. The video offers a sneak peak of the hotel’s dining, amenity, and event spaces.
