Clark Construction Completes Westin Hotel in No. Va.

ARLINGTON, Va. – Northern Virginia’s first Westin Hotel will open shortly in the Ballston section of Arlington. The hotel is the last component of Arlington Gateway, a mixed-use development also featuring a 411-unit residential tower and 330,000-square-foot office building.

Clark Construction Group, LLC served as the general contractor on all three buildings. The JBG Companies of Chevy Chase, Md. was the developer on this mixed-use project. With Reagan National Airport, Metro and the business district of Washington just minutes away, Arlington Gateway’s elegant hotel offers a convenient location for business travelers.

In addition, the Westin features 10,000 square feet of full-service conference facilities, a business center and a retail component. Designed by WDG Architecture of Washington, D.C., the 240,000-square-foot, 15-story structure incorporates a precast facade with extensive curtainwall and stone accents. Amenities at the 335-unit hotel include a swimming pool, exercise room and spa.

JBG’s vision for Arlington Gateway redefines the live-work-play design. With one million square feet of high-tech office space, a luxury hotel, luxury residences, fine dining and retail, Arlington Gateway is one of the largest mixed-use projects in Northern Virginia.
