Clark Construction’s Phil Sheridan Receives Design-Build Industry’s Highest Distinction

Clark Construction Group is proud to announce that the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) has named Phil Sheridan, a senior vice president at Clark, as one of the five industry leaders chosen as part of the 2020 Class of DBIA Fellows.

Designated Design-Build Professional™ Fellow status is the highest level of DBIA Certification and acknowledges the achievements of the nation’s most accomplished design-build professionals.

In his role at Clark, Phil Sheridan spearheads the company's alternative delivery pursuits and the construction of rail and highway infrastructure projects. Throughout his 35-year career, Phil has utilized Design-Build best practices to help deliver some of the Mid-Atlantic Region’s most complex projects including the CSX Virginia Avenue Tunnel Reconstruction and National Gateway Initiative Phase II projects, multiple WMATA Station, Entrance Expansion, Service Yard Modernization, and Bus Maintenance Division projects, as well as the MDSHA’s Intercounty Connector Contract C. 

Phil is also a member of Clark’s Strategic Investment Committee, a cross-functional team dedicated to supporting the company’s innovation efforts.

Elevation to Fellow status celebrates career contributions to the design-build profession and the DBIA organization. DBIA Fellow status is limited to two percent of Designated Design-Build Professionals™ who are elected to Fellowship by a jury of their peers.

DBIA Fellows were inducted during the national Project/Team Awards ceremony at the 2020 Design-Build Conference & Expo on October 29.
