Clark Chosen to Renovate Downtown D.C. Office for Howrey, LLP

May 2, 2006

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Howrey, LLP recently awarded Clark Interiors the renovations contract for the global law firm’s office space in Washington, D.C. The project is located at 1299 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, adjacent to the Warner Theatre.

The contract includes the phased renovation of five floors of high-end office space, as well as a secretarial corridor, conference room and atrium. A full renovation of restrooms on seven floors will be completed as an additional phase.

Work will include demolition of all interior office fronts surrounding the atrium and construction of new modern conference rooms with intricate back-lit membrane ceilings visible from the lobby through the atrium window wall. The conference rooms will include frosted glass front walls and integral doors and wood veneer credenzas with stone tops. The interior offices will feature new aluminum single-rabbet frames custom designed for Howrey, LLP. The surrounding administrative corridors will be refurbished with new carpet, and ceilings will be updated with an elaborate light fixture package.

Howrey, LLP will remain in the office space during construction, making construction phasing and tenant occupancy of each area critical to the law firm’s uninterrupted operations.

Clark built the law firm’s original award-winning space at this location in 1992. The interior renovation work is scheduled to be completed in August 2007.
