Clark Announces Partnership with Building Innovation Hub

Clark Construction Group is pleased to announce the company’s participation as a founding member of the Building Innovation Hub, the District of Columbia’s premier entity connecting building industry professionals and providing resources and education to design, build, and operate buildings more sustainably.

Launched by the Institute for Market Transformation in October 2020, the Building Innovation Hub is designed to help the real estate community build and operate better buildings, comply with innovative new building policies and codes, and create local jobs in clean energy.

As the first general contractor founding member, Clark will leverage its breadth of market expertise to co-develop resources that promote high-performance buildings and help spearhead industry leadership forums that catalyze green innovation.

Clark and the Hub leaders are currently developing actionable playbooks for building owners and practitioners, including an upcoming webinar series. These web-based panel discussions will explore the critical role that the AEC industry plays in halting global greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, using the DC area as a model for other cities and regions in the nation.

“I’m so pleased to have Clark Construction Group as a Founding Member of the Hub” said Lindsey Falasca, director of the Building Innovation Hub. “Their dedication to advancing innovation and helping their clients create the capacity for sustainable, energy-efficient construction is so important to decarbonizing the built environment.”

“At Clark, we pride ourselves on strengthening the communities in which we live, work, and play,” said Fernando Arias, director of sustainability at Clark. “By launching this partnership and participating in the upcoming panel series, we are able to help provide diverse, scalable, and practical industry guidance toward a more equitable and sustainable built environment.”
