Art Installation Showcases Vibrancy in Creating the Built Environment

WASHINGTON – Clark Construction Group is pleased to announce the “Vibrant Matter, Social Constructs” art installation at the Arena Stage featuring photography by Harry Griffin, Clark’s photographer-in-residence. The installation will run from July 3, 2019 to August 11, 2019.

Over the past 18 months, Harry has visited nearly 100 of Clark’s construction sites across the country to capture the art of building. “Vibrant Matter, Social Constructs” represents the culmination of Harry’s journey through the world of construction. From highways and stadiums to tunnels and high-rises, his photographs showcase moments of magic on Clark projects. At times whimsical and at times serious, and always insightful, Harry’s work illustrates the vibrancy and social aspects in creating the built environment.

The installation will feature photography and materials from many Clark construction sites, including the Chase Center in San Francisco, CA, Maryland Route 355 Crossing in Bethesda, MD, and the Bellwood Quarry in Atlanta, GA.

“Vibrant Matter, Social Constructs” will run at the Arena Stage through August 11, 2019. Visitors can view the entire art installation Tuesday – Sunday from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. Prior to 6:00pm, visitors will only be able to view Harry’s photographs that are displayed on the Lobby Level.
