The concrete laboratory buildings will have a glass-and-metal-panel exterior and the office buildings will be a concrete structure with a brick facade. A large skylight creates a central atrium to connect the buildings. The scope of work also includes extensive landscaping of several courtyards on the premises.
The FDA CBER project will consolidate several local area facilities onto the FDA's campus in White Oak, Md. Clark completed the FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research 2 project at the White Oak campus in 2008.
Work on the project has already begun and will follow a 40-month construction schedule.
