Clark Construction Group, LLC is currently serving as the general contractor on the $46 million phase one portion of the South of Orleans Expansion project for The Johns Hopkins Hospital at 1795 Orleans Street in East Baltimore. This multi-use facility includes a 2,200-space parking structure and loading dock, as well as the core and shell construction of a kitchen and power plant.
Designed by Thornton Tomasetti Cutts of Washington, D.C. and LZA of New York, the structure incorporates cast-in-place concrete, masonry and structural steel highlighted with elevations of curtain wall. Challenges for the Clark team include reaching multiple milestones throughout the project, as well as coordinating work on a tight urban site.
The project will be completed in Summer 2005.
