Clark's Energy & Structured Finance (ESF) group was established to provide clients with turnkey solutions for customized, on-site alternative energy systems, such as cogeneration, photovoltaic, and biomass, with no-upfront capital investment.  We develop, construct, finance, invest in, and operate and maintain our clients' custom-designed systems. ESF can also help clients achieve lower energy costs by incorporating numerous state and local energy incentive programs, as well as available federal tax credits and tax deductions, into our project pricing.

ESF also provides custom financing options to help our clients achieve energy independence with clean or renewable energy systems at the lowest cost possible.  Our financing options include:

  • Energy Assets

ESF can assist clients in developing projects on a fee-for-service basis providing a turnkey delivery or enhanced design-build solution.

We assess facility energy consumption and cost profile of clients, and develop recommendations for system solutions that are technology neutral and custom-designed to address client base and peak energy loads. Technologies ESF provide include, but are not limited to: cogeneration (microturbine, gas turbine, and reciprocating engines), photovoltaic, biomass, and solar thermal systems.

Energy & Structured Finance's advanced combined heat and power system at the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center captures waste heat and utilize it in the absorption chiller and heat recovery steam generator, eliminating the need for the facility to purchase additional electricity.
