Clark, as the lead member of the design-build joint venture, Prairie District3 Partners, delivered the $350 million Marriott Marquis Chicago.  The hotel is the latest addition to Chicago's growing McCormick Square neighborhood.

Clark constructed the 40-story tower, which features 1,205 guest rooms and 44 luxury suites, in just 24 months. The hotel features many amenities, including below-grade parking, retail space, banquet and meeting rooms, ballrooms, a fitness center, and a large restaurant and bar on the ground level. The team also renovated the neighboring historic American Book Company Building (ABC Building) and connected it to the hotel. The ABC Building includes additional meeting room spaces and back-of-house areas for the hotel.

Clark's scope of work also included constructing multiple pedestrian bridges to connect the many elements of the McCormick campus, including the new 10,500 seat Wintrust Arena -- also constructed by Clark under a separate contract -- to create a walkable urban experience.

The project team also provided design-build services to renovate the existing campus’ central utility plant and construct a public park across from the hotel.

The McCormick Place Headquarters Hotel is designed to achieve LEED® Silver certification.
