Following the successful execution of the preconstruction services agreement, the Jicarilla Apache Nation (JAN) awarded Atkinson Power the final design, procurement, and construction of 56 mile 115 kV Transmission Line, a 345 kV Switchyard, and two Substations.

The line construction includes direct-embed steel mono poles, and anchor bolt foundations for angle and dead-end poles. The steel mono poles range from 70’ to 80’ above grade and spacing between poles is 500 feet to 600 feet.

The 115kV single circuit structures consists of three phases installed in a vertical configuration. Each 477 ACSR conductor consists of outer aluminum strands with a stranded steel reinforced core.
