Where spending time together is not work

We take pride in working hard to build some of the finest structures and infrastructure in the country. But that is not all we do. Construction is hard work, but we find ways to play hard too, fostering interests, talents and friendships through activities that extend beyond the workday.

Through corporate committees that find ways improve the company, social events, company-sponsored sports teams, and community service projects, employees gain a great deal – we meet new people, improve ourselves, strengthen the company, have fun, and give back to the communities in which we live and work.

Opportunities to Express Yourself

Whether your interests lie in helping to repair low-income housing on a Saturday afternoon, getting a team together for a softball league, or improving your public speaking as part of a Toastmasters club, you will find others who share your goals at Clark, managers and executives that encourage your interests, and an outlet for your particular talents.

Staying Connected

With 3,500 employees in offices and at jobsites all over the country, communicating news about the company, our projects, upcoming activities and ways to get involved is critical to making sure that everyone stays connected. A key tool we use to share information is our employee intranet. Our intranet serves as the gateway to information at Clark, and includes tools we need to get the job done. From the company phone list with employee photos to corporate policies and online tools, it is a centralized resource for employees. The intranet also includes descriptions and contacts for Clark-sponsored clubs, and events, and community volunteer efforts.

Employees can catch up on news about the company and co-workers through company-wide emails and newsletters such as Cornerstone, Field News, Superstructure, and Community Connection that are published by Clark throughout the year. These methods of communicating news and information help all of our employees to stay in the loop.

Getting Together as a Team

In addition, Clark sponsors events that bring employees together in groups of all sizes. Training programs, company meetings, awards programs, and outings like golf tournaments, fishing trips and picnics are organized throughout the year. We share ideas at these events, learn from others’ experiences, and make new friends. This enriches us both individually and as a team.

As a Clark employee, I've been to a baseball game with my co-workers, attended jobsite training seminars and participated in volunteer efforts. At Clark, I have found lots of ways to have fun while meeting new people, learning new skills and giving back to the community in which I work.
