Clark’s Small Business Development Group (SDG) is committed to creating innovative programs that empower local business owners, stimulate growth and development, and provide economic opportunity for community residents and businesses. Small businesses play a vital role on each project we build, and by investing in their future, we not only strengthen our industry, but the local community.

With each new venture we undertake, our team of in-house professionals works to identify key areas in which local and small business can contribute, and outlines an aggressive bidding and procurement strategy to ensure that we achieve our subcontracting objectives. Once a project is underway, the SDG works directly with our project teams to ensure the accuracy of small business tracking and enforce the company's top-down commitment to not only meeting, but surpassing, our small business participation goals.

Over the years, we have awarded billions of dollars in contracts to certified small businesses. Clark's successful track record on projects such as NGA Campus East, DoD/BRAC 133, San Antonio Military Medical Center, and the Camp Pendleton Hospital Replacement project is proof that small business participation does not cost a premium. Our success on these and other projects also demonstrates our ability to maximize the contributions that small and local firms can make and gives us the confidence that our goals, while aggressive, are attainable.
